All three teams won convincingly this weekend, with a total of sixteen goals scored, only four conceded and three hatrick heros putting in fantastic displays.
The Panthers made hard work of it away from home, but eventually overcame a resilient West Bridgford Rondos side to run out deserving 0-3 winners. Moments of quality were few and far between on a very small and boggy pitch, although Pembo’s MotM winning tenacious display, the Cat’s return to form and Leo’s wonder strike all being very noteworthy.
The Tigers got back to winning ways with a 7-2 victory over Breaston Park Green, with Banksy hitting a glorious hatrick on the way. That still wasn’t enough to earn him man of the match though, with that accolade going to Oliver Fielding for a sterling goalkeeping display.
The Pumas continued their high-scoring run, overcoming Gedling Southbank United 6-2. A hatrick a-piece from Matthew and Ollie G secured the points during a great team performance, with the later earning the MotM trophy. Archie Carr impressed again, with next week’s trip to Loughborough looking like it may be the league decider.
The Social after was also a great success, with the weather and the fryers of the Hearty Sole doing the Big Cats proud.
